Imphal: Security forces captured an alleged RPF/PLA cadre in Imphal West district on June 26. The operation targeted 28-year-old Angom Premjit Singh, also known as Frewish or Manaothoi, at his home in Phayeng Ching Khunou. Officials linked the Lamsang resident to extortion rackets operating within the region.

The military pressure continues. Troops are blanketing fringe and vulnerable districts to keep the peace. Their work is high-stakes. Security teams recently shepherded 537 trucks hauling food and fuel along National Highway-37 to prevent supply shortages.

The state has tightened its grip on movement. Authorities set up 112 checkpoints across hill and valley territories. Soldiers now ride shotgun on convoys passing through sensitive zones. Officials stated that "additional security measures were put in place at vulnerable locations" to protect the flow of essential goods.
