Imphal: Security forces launched coordinated joint combing operations on Saturday, June 6, to stop violence from spreading beyond Kotlen. Patrols targeted areas surrounding Litan, Mahadev, and Sinakeithel along National Highways 202 and 102A, where teams performed extensive area domination exercises.

During these efforts, personnel discovered and destroyed several illegal bunkers. Officials stated that these actions aim to maintain order and keep regional transport routes clear for commuters. The operation reflects a broader strategy to secure critical infrastructure and protect local residents from potential escalations.

Security leaders met with civil society organizations and village authorities to request ongoing cooperation. They emphasized the need to keep local youth from becoming involved in external conflicts. An official urged the community to act responsibly, stating, "refrain from engaging in any form of violence or activities that could disturb the prevailing peace."

Authorities confirmed that the increased security presence will remain in place to deter threats. Similar operations will continue in the coming days to uphold stability across the region.
