Itanagar: Search crews are scouring the wreckage in Arunachal Pradesh four days after a flash flood hit the NEEPCO Colony near Possa village. The disaster left five people missing on June 24. Rescuers have pulled two bodies from the debris, but three others remain lost.

The National Disaster Response Force is leading the push. Deputy Commandant Anand Patel of the 12th Battalion said his crews are now on the ground with boats, specialized gear, and canine squads. Road blocks delayed their arrival by two days, but the operation is now in full swing. "The NDRF team arrived yesterday and is currently conducting search operations using specialised equipment, canines and boats," Patel said.

Debris piles block the path. Trash and sharp objects choke the waterway. Hilly terrain and shifting weather make the job dangerous. Officials expect more teams to arrive soon to widen the search zone as the mission continues despite the grim conditions.
