Kohima: Sainik School Punglwa in Nagaland formally installed 42 cadets into leadership positions during its annual investiture ceremony held on May 23. The event, led by school principal Col (Dr) Smita Misra, focused on empowering students to take on institutional responsibilities and develop essential leadership skills.
The newly appointed leaders fill 14 school-level roles and 28 house-level positions across the institution's 10 houses. Cadet Langpai L. was named the School Cadet Captain, while Cadet Dzuzuto took on the responsibilities of School Adjutant. Other leadership appointments included Pranav as Academic Captain, Aditya Kumar as Discipline Captain, and Esu Lajemei as Sports Captain. The school also appointed Angela Rimi Pura as Captain and Laishram Daina Devi as Vice-Captain for the girl cadets.
During the ceremony, Col (Dr) Misra encouraged the students to honor their oaths and maintain academic focus as they prepare for the upcoming summer break. The principal also marked the occasion by releasing the latest edition of VYWOM, the school’s bi-annual cadet newsletter.
