Kohima: Rotary International District 3240 Governor Dr. Kameswar Elangbam visited the Rotary Club of Mokokchung on Friday to review the organization's local impact and community initiatives. Hosted at Rotary House, the event brought together members and representatives from local Interact Clubs, including those from Eden Academy and Jubilee Memorial School.

Vice president I. Temsu Jamir opened the proceedings before club secretary Imlitemsu Jamir delivered a report on recent activities. The visit served as a platform for Dr. Elangbam to outline the global organization's commitment to humanitarian work across education, healthcare, and environmental conservation.

Addressing the local membership, Dr. Elangbam highlighted the value of smaller chapters in the broader network. He stated, "Service above self" is the core motto that should continue to drive members toward meaningful community development.

The governor noted that while the Mokokchung branch operates with a modest team of 20 members, their consistent involvement remains vital to the town. As part of the visit, the club donated 10 ceiling fans to the Senkalemba Government Middle School to support classroom infrastructure. The program concluded with a formal vote of thanks delivered by member Imtiyapang Imsong.
