Kohima: Pradeep Goel took the helm of the Rotary Club of Dimapur this Sunday. He stepped into the role of president for the 2026-27 term during a ceremony held at the Rotary Centre in Midland. He arrived with a fresh board of directors to guide the club through the coming year.
Veni Vese, the Additional Deputy Commissioner of Police for Chümoukedima, attended as the chief guest. He praised the organization for its commitment to welfare work and local community support. Vese noted the power of individual effort. "A small act of compassion can have a life changing impact on someone," he told the crowd.
The event marked the 55th anniversary of the group. Past president Dr. Sharma handled the formal installation duties. The program featured the release of the official club bulletin and a look back at the previous year of service. Leaders handed out awards to the outgoing team and recognized the new office bearers. Vese ended the day by naming himself an honorary member, pledging his support to the club's ongoing mission.
