Residents rescue ailing elderly man in Tinsukia

Guwahati: Local residents in Tinsukia rescued a 70-year-old man from the Na-Khorai area on Tuesday. Hardiyal Turi was found in a helpless state. He had been suffering from a long-term illness without family support. Locals discovered him wandering and staying in various spots across the district.

Concerned neighbors stepped in to help. They rushed Turi to Tinsukia Civil Hospital for immediate medical attention. The rescuers confirmed that he will undergo further health examinations following his initial stabilization. Once cleared by doctors, Turi will move to an old-age home located at Na-Pukhuri. The community initiative earned local praise for the act, as residents stated, "Turi would undergo the necessary health examinations after his initial treatment."
