Guwahati: Radisson Blu Guwahati is bringing the spice of Hyderabad to Assam. The hotel launches its dining festival, The Deccan Royal: Nizam, at Café B You starting July 10. The event runs nightly from 7 pm until July 19.
Chefs are slow-cooking traditional recipes once reserved for royal tables. The menu draws on Persian, Turkish, and Arabic influences. Diners can order signature items like Marag lamb soup, Shikampur Kebab, Murgh Dum Biryani, and Nalli Nihari. Traditional drinks like Khubani Sharbat and Rose and Basil Sherbet round out the list.
General Manager Gurmeet Randhawa expects a unique turnout. He stated, "The culinary traditions of the Nizams represent one of India's richest gastronomic legacies."
The staff designed the space to mimic the grand decor of the Deccan. They want to pair authentic hospitality with the heavy, rich flavors of the historical Hyderabadi kitchens. It is a deep dive into Indian food history.
