Kohima: Officers found 30-year-old Nzanthung Kikon dead in his rented home near the fishery area in Tsumang A on Thursday. Police arrived at the scene around 1:50 p.m. after receiving reports of the incident. The man was discovered hanging inside the residence. He lived alone, had no children, and was divorced.
Additional Superintendent of Police Biren Lotha confirmed the department found no signs of foul play. Authorities stated, "The exact reason behind the incident remains unclear."
The family refused a post-mortem examination. Police finished the required legal paperwork quickly. They handed the body over to the family members for final funeral rites.
