Agartala: A morning stroll turned grim in Agartala on Sunday. Walkers at the Gangail riverside park spotted bloodstains near the water, prompting an immediate call to police. The scene signaled trouble. Authorities had already received reports about a missing man, Ramjan Ali, who vanished the night before.

The Sadar Sub-Divisional Administration launched a massive search. Teams from the NDRF, SDRF, Civil Defence, and local fire units combed the Howrah River for hours. They finally pulled Ali, also known as Titon, from the dark water.

Investigators spotted deep wounds across the victim. These marks point toward a violent end. Police sources noted that "the deceased had multiple deep injury marks on his body," leading officers to suspect a calculated murder. Officials are now waiting on a post-mortem report to confirm exactly how he died.
