Agartala: Agartala police shut down a robbery attempt at an automated teller machine today. Officers moved in quickly to secure the site. Two suspects are currently in custody for the failed heist.

The suspects tried to crack the machine to get at the cash inside. The attempt failed before any currency could be removed. Authorities have detained the pair while they piece together how the crime was planned.

Police officials confirmed the arrests shortly after the scene was cleared. Local investigators are now questioning the detainees to see if anyone else helped them. A senior officer on the scene stated, "Unique ATM cash theft bid foiled in Agartala, two detained." The investigation remains active as police check for links to other recent incidents.
