Itanagar: Lower Siang police raided Bokchum Resort in Likabali on June 24. They shut down an alleged sex trafficking ring. Seven women from Assam and Nagaland were found and pulled to safety during the surprise operation.

A joint team of local police, lady officers, and an Executive Magistrate led the raid. They acted on tips from sources including the Arunachal Pradesh Women's Welfare Society. Officers ensured the safety of all seven victims during the process. Police said the operation was conducted while "ensuring the dignity and privacy of those rescued."

Medical teams checked the women before moving them to a One Stop Centre. They will receive legal help and rehabilitation there. Detectives hauled the resort owner, manager, and several customers in for questioning.

The Likabali Police Station registered FIR number 25/2026. The case falls under the Immoral Traffic Prevention Act. Investigators are now mapping the full reach of the criminal network to catch everyone involved.
