Guwahati: Rupahihat Police smashed an illegal beef operation in Assam this week. They raided several sites across the Nagaon district to shut down the illicit supply chain. Officers hit Rupahi, Saidaria, Chalachali, Tarabari, Singimari, and Shalpara in one coordinated strike.

Authorities arrested Abul Sattar of Purba Shalpara and Shamsed Ali of Tarabari. The sweep turned up a large amount of suspected illegal beef. Police said the operation was "part of the ongoing enforcement efforts to curb illegal activities in the region."

The investigation is not over. Police are now hunting for others linked to the smuggling network. They intend to map the full scale of the trade and clear out remaining participants.
