Guwahati: Police in Assam's Bajali district arrested four individuals on Sunday for their suspected role in an interstate cyber fraud operation. The suspects, identified as Jitumoni Roy, Ranjan Das, Aditya Tiwari, and Rahul Kumar, were taken into custody following a targeted operation by the Sarupeta Police.

The arrests occurred under the supervision of Bajali Deputy Superintendent of Police Bhabarnath. Authorities launched the investigation after receiving multiple reports of cyber fraud within the local area. Preliminary findings suggest the group used Customer Service Centres to facilitate their illicit activities.

Officials are currently questioning the four men to determine the full scope of their criminal network. Police stated, "The police are examining the role of the accused and attempting to ascertain the extent of the network's operations." Investigators are working to identify potential connections to other individuals involved in the racket as the inquiry continues.
