Agartala: Tripura Chief Minister Manik Saha announced that Prime Minister Narendra Modi has pledged his full support for the state following a high-level meeting in New Delhi. The discussions centered on driving economic growth, addressing financial priorities, and identifying new investment opportunities for the region.
Saha highlighted that the talks also touched on governance reforms, noting that Tripura currently leads the country in deregulation and compliance efforts. The Chief Minister expressed optimism about the state's trajectory, stating that the Prime Minister's commitment to the region provides a strong foundation for future progress.
Beyond development initiatives, the Chief Minister addressed the recent appointment of Abhishek Debroy as the new president of the Tripura BJP, replacing Rajib Bhattacharjee. Saha described the transition as a standard organizational process, praising Bhattacharjee for his past service while expressing confidence in the new leadership.
Saha emphasized that the party is focused on promoting younger leaders to revitalize the organization. He expects the new president to foster effective cooperation between the party and the state government as they work to strengthen the BJP's presence in Tripura.
