Phek Town Council Marks Two Years of Service

Kohima: Phek Town Council reached a two-year milestone this week. Members gathered on July 9 to celebrate the group's formation and map out the work left to do. They marked the occasion in Phek town with local officials in attendance.

Chairperson Shevohu Nienu addressed the crowd. He promised the council will keep running things with openness and grit. "With the continued support and cooperation of all the council members, we believe we can achieve greater milestones in the years ahead," Nienu said.

The council chief gave a nod to the district administration and local police for backing their projects. He also thanked the area NGOs for staying involved in town development. The program ran under the guidance of chair Seyieveto Lohe.

Top brass attended the event to show their support. Phek Deputy Commissioner Rhosietho Nguori and Superintendent of Police Dr. Pritpal Kaur sat among the guests. Lt. Colonel Pabitra Mazumder of the 39th Assam Rifles and ADC Thejakhrienuo Nisa also watched the proceedings.
