Kohima: Health staff in Phek gathered at the CMO conference hall on July 6 and 7, 2026, to overhaul their data management skills. The two-day session targeted officials from Vertical Programs, DPMU staff, CHOs, GNMs, and ANMs.

District and block program managers led the training. They pushed for better quality, accuracy, and speed in health data reporting. Staff learned the ins and outs of the Health Management Information System and Reproductive Child Health reporting formats. The trainers focused on data entry steps and the need for error-free records. Discussions remained hands-on. Participants worked through practical demonstrations to clear up confusion about the system.

The push for better reporting reached beyond the main office. Block program managers mirrored the training across all local health units. Organizers held the event with "the objective of strengthening quality, accuracy and timeliness of health data reporting."
