Pedestrian killed by speeding SUV in Assam's Boko

Guwahati: A 53-year-old man died after a speeding SUV struck him on the Bamunigaon-Jambari road in Assam's Boko area on June 5. Pradip Das, a resident of Ranibitha No. 2 village, was hit by a KIA Seltos while walking near his home.

Local residents transported Das to the Bamunigaon Adarsha Hospital following the collision. Medical staff at the facility pronounced the victim "dead on arrival" after he succumbed to his injuries.

Officers from the Jambari police station arrived at the scene shortly after the incident occurred to begin their investigation. Authorities have initiated legal procedures as they work to determine the circumstances surrounding the fatal crash.
