Oinam Lukhoi Pledges Continued Development Work in Wangoi

Imphal: Oinam Lukhoi is sticking to his work. The former Manipur minister and BJP state vice-president says he remains committed to public service, win or lose. He made the promise Saturday during a ground-breaking event for a new community hall in the Wangoi Assembly Constituency.

Lukhoi put his own money into the project for the Chingtham and Athokpam clans at Irom Meijrao Maning Leikai. He insists that local progress should not depend on how people cast their ballots. "Will continue serving people regardless of votes," Lukhoi said.

The veteran politician pointed to his track record. He claims he has already blacktopped numerous roads and built several club buildings and Meira Shang structures across the area. He promised that all current construction sites will see completion before the next assembly cycle hits.
