Nyamnyei Konyak Takes Over as Tobu Development Board Chief

Kohima: MLA A Nyamnyei Konyak is the new chairman of the Tobu Sub-Divisional Planning and Development Board. He took over the role from outgoing MLA Naiba Konyak during a monthly meeting held at the EBRC Hall in Tobu Town on June 24. Leadership changed hands officially during the session.

Naiba Konyak thanked the board members and local representatives for their steady support during his time in charge. He noted that the team maintained strong relationships, which helped get public work done on time. He finished his final act as chair by handing over office responsibilities to his successor.

L Samuel, the Additional Deputy Commissioner and board vice-chairman, welcomed the incoming leader. He expects the board to keep moving forward under new guidance.

A Nyamnyei Konyak addressed the room, demanding better teamwork across all departments to fix governance issues. He told the gathered officials: "Effective coordination among departments should be a prerequisite for ensuring smooth governance at all levels." He urged staff to flag pending projects immediately so the board can start the implementation process.

The meeting secretary, EAC Er R Mhao Humtsoe, led the agenda discussions after the chairman finished his remarks.
