Itanagar: The Nationalist Socialist Council of Nagaland Yung Aung faction struck a 10th Assam Rifles team today. The ambush took place at 5:30 PM on the Namgoi-Pangsau road. Rebels claim three soldiers died on the spot. Violence erupted as the group fights back against Indian border fencing efforts.

The Naga Army Tactical Unit carried out the assault. They cite the Indian government's refusal to stop building an artificial boundary. The group claims these walls violate international law and ignore local protests. Tensions are boiling over. The group maintains the fence serves no purpose other than to provoke the Naga people.

The rebels issued a sharp warning after the strike. The NSCN-YA stated, "Despite strong protests from all Nagas on both sides of the imposed borders, India remains insensitive, and the illegal construction continues with impunity." Leadership insists they will protect their homeland and reject what they call an oppressive colonial project. They praised their fighters for delivering a message to the Indian forces.
