Kohima: Leaders of the Naga People's Front in the 5 Ghaspani-II Assembly Constituency have formally praised party officials for resolving the internal crisis within the Dimapur Municipal Council. The constituency president, Thepfuselie Makritsu, credited the leadership of Chief Minister Dr. Neiphiu Rio and advisor Zhaleo Rio for their mediation efforts.
The reconciliation successfully addressed the conflict between DMC chairperson Hukheto Yepthomi and deputy chairperson Imlinaro S Ezung, alongside other involved councillors. Officials noted that the ability of the representatives to prioritize public welfare and party unity demonstrated a strong democratic spirit.
By facilitating necessary dialogue, Zhaleo Rio helped ensure the dispute reached a peaceful conclusion without ongoing confrontation. The constituency leadership expressed confidence that this renewed cooperation will improve the civic body's ability to serve Dimapur residents. They also urged supporters to remain committed to collective responsibility to ensure the continued progress of the region.
