Guwahati: Northeast Frontier Railway is extending the service of two special train pairs and launching additional one-way routes to manage the surge in passenger demand during the summer season. These adjustments aim to reduce station congestion and improve overall connectivity for travelers.
The Dibrugarh to Kolkata service, train numbers 05932 and 05931, will run for eight additional trips. The outgoing train from Dibrugarh operates from June 6 through July 25, while the return trip from Kolkata runs from June 8 through July 27. Additionally, the Bhagalpur to Katihar service, train numbers 03407 and 03408, is extended for three more trips through June 4.
The railway is also introducing two one-way special trains on June 4 to help clear the rush. Train 05630 will travel from Guwahati to Tirupati, and train 05862 will depart from Rangapara North bound for Vijayawada.
NFR Chief Public Relations Officer Kapinjal Kishore Sharma stated that these initiatives ensure a smoother and more comfortable experience for passengers. Travelers should verify specific schedules and station stops by checking the IRCTC website or the official NFR social media channels before their trip.
