NNC FGN Wokha Region Challenges Unauthorized Appointments

Kohima: The Naga National Council (FGN) Lotha Region has formally disowned a June 17 report regarding the appointment of new Leacys by Midanpeyu Hathungo Kithan. Officials clarified that these actions were driven by personal interest rather than government mandate.

E. Thungbemo Ngullie, the Midanpeyu of the NNC (FGN) Wokha Region, has challenged the legitimacy of the process. He questioned whether the individuals were properly elected or appointed and criticized the exercise of administrative power without government approval. Thungbemo argued that his own executive authority was ignored to serve selfish motives.

To address these concerns, Thungbemo demanded a comprehensive list of all involved incumbents. He also requested formal evidence, including official appointment orders, endorsements, and proof of delegated financial or administrative powers. Thungbemo stated, "failure to furnish the required documents to the government and to his office would render the activities and administrative functioning null and void."
