NLA Committee Inspects Development Sites in Pfutsero

Kohima: Members of the Nagaland Legislative Assembly Committee on Environment and Climate Change visited Pfutsero on May 26 to inspect key infrastructure locations. Led by committee chairman Achumbemo Kikon, the delegation examined the current waste dumping site and the proposed location for a new mountain radar system at Glory Peak.

The visit included a formal discussion with local MLA Dr. Neisatuo Mero and representatives from the Phek district administration, including Deputy Commissioner Rhosietho Nguori and Superintendent of Police Pritual Kaur. Members of the local Town Council, the Chakhesang Public Organisation, and the Chakhesang Mothers’ Association also participated in the session to address environmental and development concerns in the region.
