Agartala: NITI Aayog handed Tripura a Rs 1 crore incentive. The cash reward follows the state's success in launching the Tripura Institution for Transformation, known as TIFT, within required deadlines. The body operates under the State Support Mission.

Chief Minister Prof Dr Manik Saha chairs the think tank. It started in December 2023 to handle data analytics, policy planning, and advocacy. The group provides expertise to push the government's development goals forward.

Tripura also led a major regional dialogue in Agartala this past February. It hosted representatives from eastern and northeastern states to trade ideas on better governance. Officials noted the grant will boost the state's capacity for future projects. "This recognition reflects Tripura’s strong commitment to institutional strengthening and driving evidence-based governance," officials stated.

The state is now seen as a leader in regional policy. It wants to keep building systems that work.
