Itanagar: The National Institute of Technology (NIT) Arunachal Pradesh has officially opened recruitment for various teaching positions for 2026. The institute is seeking qualified individuals to fill roles as Adjunct Faculty and Professor of Practice across several engineering, science, and management disciplines.
Open positions cover departments including Civil, Computer Science, Electronics and Communication, Electrical, and Mechanical Engineering. Opportunities are also available within the Basic and Applied Science and Management and Humanities departments. Candidates generally require a first-class degree in their respective fields, while holding a PhD remains a desirable qualification. Specific expertise requirements range from structural and geotechnical engineering to artificial intelligence, renewable energy, and economics.
Compensation packages for Adjunct Faculty are set at Rs. 60,000 per month for PhD holders and Rs. 50,000 for those with an M.Tech. Professors of Practice may receive a consolidated monthly honorarium of Rs. 2,00,000 for one-month visits or Rs. 6,000 per day for shorter engagements.
Applicants must submit their information via the designated online form before the deadline of July 15, 2026, at 5:00 PM. Following the application phase, the institute will hold interviews on July 22, 2026, at 11:00 AM in a physical format. The university noted: "The shortlisted candidates will not be intimated individually."
