NIT Agartala Announces 2026 Recruitment for Research and Medical Roles

Agartala: The National Institute of Technology in Agartala, Tripura, has opened applications for several positions in 2026. The institute is seeking a Junior Research Fellow to support a project funded by the Anusandhan National Research Foundation and the Department of Science and Technology. This specific research initiative is titled "Functional Nanohybrids for Breath Acetone Detection: A Non-Invasive Tool for Diabetes Diagnosis."

The Junior Research Fellow will receive a monthly stipend of Rs. 37,000 plus 10 percent HRA. Candidates must hold a postgraduate degree in basic science or a graduate or postgraduate degree in a professional course. Applicants must also have qualified through national examinations conducted by agencies such as CSIR, UGC, GATE, or central government bodies like the DST, DBT, or ICMR. Interested individuals should submit their application materials to Dr. Mitra Barun Sarkar by July 5, 2026.

NIT Agartala is also hiring medical professionals, including a General Physician, an Orthopaedic Specialist, and a Gynaecologist. Each of these three clinical roles offers a daily pay of Rs. 3,000 for a four-hour shift, plus travel allowance. Qualified applicants must possess an MBBS along with an MD, MS, or DNB in their respective fields, supplemented by at least five years of experience. Additionally, the institute is recruiting a Physiotherapist on a consolidated remuneration basis. Candidates for these medical positions must submit their CV and supporting documents to the Registrar by June 30, 2026.
