Shillong: The National Institute of Fashion Technology (NIFT), Shillong, is set to host a one-day Summer Boot Camp on June 27, aimed at students from grades 8 to 12 who want to try their hand at creative crafts.
Organised by the Ministry of Textiles, Government of India, the camp will be held at the NIFT Shillong campus in Umsawli. Participants can expect hands-on sessions in Tie & Dye, Knotting & Braiding, Origami and Kirigami, with all materials provided on site.
The programme fee is ₹885, inclusive of 18% GST. However, interested students will need to move fast. Registrations close on June 25, and with only 30 seats available per batch on a first-come-first-served basis, spots are expected to fill up quickly. The final list of shortlisted students will be uploaded to the NIFT website on June 26.
