New PWD Colony Gate Opens in Kohima

Kohima: Dr. Tseilhoutuo (Ato) Rhutso officially opened the new PWD Colony Gate in Ward No. 11, Kohima, on July 3. The MLA built the structure as part of the broader Iconic Project 2025-26 initiative.

This gate serves as a landmark for locals. It aims to solidify community identity through public works. The project is one of many slated for the 9th Kohima Town Assembly constituency to upgrade local infrastructure.

Michael Neikha, chairman of the Ward II PWD Panchayat, spoke to the crowd during the ceremony. The event program was led by Upper PWD chairman Eduzu Theluo. Rev. Razouvizo Tetso offered a prayer to dedicate the site. Dziesevituo Angami, chairman of Lower PWD, delivered the vote of thanks.
