Imphal: The Loumee Shinmee Apun Lup (LOUSAL) installed its new executive body today at Sanamahi Kiyong, Selloi Langmai Ching, in Imphal East. Dr. Keisham Bheigyachandra, the group's former President and current Chief Advisor, led the oath-taking ceremony before the altar of Lord Lainingthou Sanamahi. Twenty-three members took their posts for the 2026-2029 term.
Official responsibilities and files moved to the new leadership immediately after the rites. Pukhrambam Inaobi takes over as President, while Khudam Ronex steps into the role of Secretary General. The team plans to watch government agriculture departments closely. They want results. "The organization is fully prepared to closely monitor government departments related to agriculture and work to the best of its ability toward achieving food self-sufficiency in the region," Inaobi said.
Inaobi noted the current administration makes life hard for the workforce. He claimed workers face ongoing suppression and significant hardship under the present rule.
