Network disruptions plague mobile users across Nagaland

Kohima: Mobile users across Nagaland, particularly in Dimapur and Kohima, are facing significant connectivity problems that have persisted for several days. Consumers report frequent call failures, requiring multiple attempts to connect, alongside issues such as poor voice quality, cracking audio, and sudden disconnections during active calls.

Reports also highlight instances of cross-connections, where callers are inadvertently linked to incorrect numbers. Subscribers of Bharti Airtel have reported the highest frequency of these issues, followed by those using Reliance Jio, Vodafone Idea, and BSNL. Due to the unreliability of cellular networks, many residents have shifted to using WhatsApp calls over Wi-Fi when possible.

While customer care representatives for Bharti Airtel acknowledged a temporary network issue and initially promised a resolution within four hours, users confirmed that the service disruptions continued well beyond that timeframe. Reporters attempting to verify the situation experienced identical connectivity struggles firsthand.
