Shillong: The NETRA Foundation and Rajiv Gandhi University wrapped up a 10-day virtual seminar on June 26. The Know Your Northeast program drew 105 students, academics, and policymakers from across the nation to examine regional growth.
Discussions spanned agriculture, health, border management, and climate change. Experts also broke down the challenges of entrepreneurship and infrastructure in the region. RGU Vice-Chancellor Prof SK Nayak opened the event by highlighting the area's natural wealth.
Nayak demanded better data for the region. He stated, "The region’s vast natural resources and cultural diversity" require evidence-based research to push sustainable growth. The session ended with digital certificates handed out to all attendees.
