Kohima: The Nagaland Baptist Church Council School Ministry conducted a two-day professional development workshop for educators in the Pungro area. Held on June 4 and 5 at the EBRC Hall in Pungro Town, the event brought together 41 teachers from schools in Mimi, Moya, Pungro Town, and Pungro Village.
The training focused on improving teaching effectiveness, refining mentorship capabilities, and clarifying the core objectives of mission schools. A team led by Christian Higher Secondary School Principal Moa Walling facilitated the sessions. The curriculum covered essential teaching methods, soft skills, and strategies for building strong relationships with parents.
Teachers also participated in specialized practical training sessions for subjects including Mathematics, Science, Social Sciences, and English. The event concluded with a certificate ceremony where educators were encouraged to maintain their commitment to their students. A press release stated that the training aimed at "strengthening mentorship skills and reaffirming the vision and objectives of mission schools."
