Kohima: MLA Naiba Konyak chaired his final monthly meeting of the Tobu Sub-Divisional Planning and Development Board on June 24 at the EBRC Hall. He thanked village leaders and staff for their cooperation during his term. He noted that all assigned public works finished without a hitch.

Konyak officially signed off, passing the chair to MLA A. Nyamnyei Konyak. ADC L. Samuel, who serves as vice-chairman, greeted the new boss at the podium. Change is here. The board must now look to the future.

The incoming chairman laid out his expectations for the group. A. Nyamnyei Konyak told the room, "coordination among departments must be a precondition for smooth governance." He pledged to back new development efforts and urged members to flag any unfinished projects for immediate review.

EAC R. Mhao Humtsoe, the board secretary, led the remaining agenda. The team moved through the planned business items to wrap up the session.
