Guwahati: Nagaon Police arrested an alleged drug dealer and seized a cache of illegal substances during a targeted raid in the Shialmari area. Acting on specific intelligence, officers conducted a late-night operation at the home of Rezaul Haque, who is also known as Raju.
During the search, investigators recovered 60 grams of heroin, over 6 grams of additional suspected contraband, and 50 plastic containers filled with narcotics hidden inside an almirah. Authorities confiscated all items and took the suspect into custody for questioning.
Police are now working to determine the origin of the drugs and potential connections to a broader distribution network. Officials stated, "Rezaul Haque is suspected of being involved in the trafficking of prohibited narcotic drugs." He remains under interrogation as the investigation continues.
