Guwahati: Shariful Islam vanished during his trip home to Nagaon. He left Kerala five days ago on a train bound for Assam. The young man from Mahguri village never made it back to his family.

The trail went cold after his last update. He told his family he had arrived in Bongaigaon, but then he dropped off the grid entirely. His family says, "The last communication they received from Shariful was when he informed them that he had reached Bongaigaon district."

Anxiety is climbing in Mahguri village. The family revealed that Islam deals with mental health struggles, which adds a layer of danger to his unexplained disappearance. Locals are now circulating his information, desperate to find him before the situation turns worse.
