Guwahati: A domestic dispute ended in bloodshed in Dhing on August 20. Nabin Das allegedly stabbed his wife, Dipika Das, inside their home at No. 2 Biltia. The violence erupted late at night. The couple fought over food preparation.
Nabin reportedly bought meat for dinner. When Dipika refused to cook it, the argument turned physical. Nabin attacked her from behind with a knife. He inflicted serious injuries during the assault.
Medical teams rushed the victim to a hospital in Nagaon. She remains in critical condition. Authorities moved quickly to secure the scene. Police confirmed they have "detained Nabin Das and initiated an investigation into the incident." Officers are now working to piece together the events that led to the stabbing.
