Nagaland Tourism Association Establishes New Zunheboto Unit

Kohima: A new unit of the Nagaland Tourism Association took shape June 27. The group met at Khonheche Cafe to finalize their leadership team. They want to sell Zunheboto to the world. Their goal is simple: drive sustainable tourism across the district while keeping local traditions intact.

Holoka T Sumi takes the lead as President. Vino Achumi steps in as General Secretary, with Tokavi K Zhimo handling media duties and Vitoka Yepthomi managing the money. Viza Zhimomi and Kavitoli K Sumi will run the programs. Ivan Zhimomi and Tavinto Sumi joined as advisors, supported by executive members Gloria Awomi, Tughuka Muru, and Khekivi Awomi.

The members focused on finding ways to grow the industry without hurting the local scene. They spent the meeting debating how to best show off untapped spots in the region. The team says the launch is a big step. Members stated that the formation of the NTA Zunheboto Unit "marks a milestone in the district's tourism journey" and pledged to work toward lasting growth for the area.
