Nagaland Rural Bank Hosts Janjatiya Garima Utsav in Wokha

Kohima: The Nagaland Rural Bank Wokha branch hosted the Janjatiya Garima Utsav 2026 on May 30 at the Liju Federation Hall. This initiative was organized in partnership with the National Scheduled Tribes Finance and Development Corporation and received support from the Ministry of Tribal Affairs.

Branch Manager Imlikala led a financial literacy camp during the event. She explained the value of personal savings, banking services, and loan accessibility, while also detailing various government social security schemes. The program included interactive sessions where members of self help groups shared their own success stories.

Representatives from the Liju Federation in Wokhuro Block participated in the event. Officials used the gathering to raise awareness about financial tools and services designed to foster economic independence among tribal populations.
