Kohima: Nagaland officials recently reviewed readiness for the initial phase of the 2027 Census during a State Level Census Coordination Committee meeting in Kohima. Home Commissioner Abhijit Sinha led the session at the Nagaland Civil Secretariat to ensure all logistical preparations remain on track.

Dr. Keneilhoutuolie Miachieo, the state's Director of Census Operations, confirmed that the House Listing Operation will run from July 1 through July 30. To support this massive effort, the state has appointed 6,461 census functionaries to handle field duties across the region.

Comprehensive training programs are currently in progress for the entire staff. While the training for 130 field trainers is already finished, sessions for 1,010 supervisors and 5,124 enumerators are scheduled to take place between June 8 and June 25. These personnel include master trainers, principal census officers, and district charge officers who will oversee the data collection process.
