Kohima: Nagaland is gearing up for its 80th Independence Day. Home Commissioner Abhijit Sinha met with state officials at the Civil Secretariat in Kohima on Tuesday to organize the event. Planning is already underway. The session focused on sorting out parade logistics, ceremonial protocols, and cultural showcases.

Departments must follow a uniform state template. This ensures every district runs the same program. Sinha directed Deputy Commissioners to start work immediately. He demands professionalism from every agency involved in the festivities.

Sinha praised past performance during the meeting. He expects the same level of commitment for this milestone event. "The coordination exercise is convened annually well in advance to ensure that all participating departments and agencies are fully aware of their roles and responsibilities," Sinha said. Official instructions will hit all departments shortly to lock in the final plans.
