Kohima: Nagaland Lok Sabha MP S Supongmeren Jamir put local officials on notice Thursday. He ordered departments to maintain better records of their work during a DISHA meeting at the Chumoukedima DC hall. Clear data proves progress. It helps the state plan better for the future.

Jamir pushed for tighter teamwork between agencies to squeeze more impact out of state programs. He specifically targeted the Labour Department. The MP told them to run more awareness drives in village clusters. Workers and youth need to know about eSHRAM registration and labour cards. He wants these welfare benefits to reach more young people across Nagaland.

The meeting focused on checking the status of centrally funded schemes. Officials reviewed targets and tried to solve bottlenecks in project rollouts. Jamir made his stance on the committee's role clear to the staff in attendance. "The purpose of the DISHA committee is to strengthen governance and improve service delivery, rather than oppose any department or the state government," he said.

He expects all stakeholders to pull in the same direction. Chumoukedima needs results. Everyone must work together to make sure help reaches every corner of society.
