Kohima: Nagaland Chief Minister Neiphiu Rio traveled to New Delhi on Wednesday. He brought Deputy Chief Ministers TR Zeliang and Yanthungo Patton along for the trip. The trio sat down with Union Home Minister Amit Shah to talk about the future of the state. They focused on peace and welfare.
The meeting aimed to align state goals with federal priorities. Rio used social media to update the public after the session. He wrote, "Called on the Hon'ble Union HM & Min. for Cooperation Shri @AmitShah Ji, along with Deputy CMs Shri @TRZeliang & Shri @YanthungoPatton. We discussed matters related to peace & the welfare of the State."
Patton also weighed in on the meeting. He thanked Shah for his time and consistent interest in the aspirations of local citizens. These talks help bridge the gap between the state and the center. Both sides want better coordination for upcoming projects. The leaders aim to secure lasting progress for the region.
