Kohima: The Nagaland Economics and Statistics Department is launching a special project to digitize manual birth and death certificates for civil secretariat staff. This initiative takes place at the Secretariat Complex lobby in Kohima from June 2 to June 4.

Operations run daily between 11 a.m. and 4 p.m. The digitization process covers records for employees, their spouses, and their children. This effort supports a broader state mandate to digitize legacy records and improve secure digital governance throughout Nagaland.

Staff can also utilize this period to handle new birth and death registrations, delayed entries, and corrections for events occurring within the Kohima Sadar area. Department officials have asked all secretariat staff to bring their original certificates and necessary supporting documentation to the venue to ensure the drive's success.
