Nagaland Excise Department Calls for Public Tips to Fight Drug Trade

Kohima: Nagaland's Excise department wants your help. They are asking the public to report drug peddlers to break up local supply chains. Officials need credible tips to disrupt the illicit trade. It is a war on narcotics.

The department marked the International Day against Drug Abuse and Illicit Trafficking with outreach programs across Dimapur. Staff visited local schools and colleges. They hoisted banners and spoke to students about the dangers of substance abuse. The team also held an official pledge to double down on enforcement.

"World Drug problem: Persisting issues, new challenges, innovative responses," read the official theme for this year's awareness drive. Joint Commissioner of Excise S Phyobemo Kikon pushed for community involvement to keep the state safe.
