Nagaland Department of Higher Education Adds Two New College Buses

Kohima: Nagaland officials sent two new buses onto the road this week. The Department of Higher Education flagged off the vehicles on July 2 at their headquarters in Kohima. Sarita Yadav, secretary of Higher and Technical Education, presided over the morning event.

The department assigned one bus to Sao Chang College in Tuensang and the other to Pfutsero Government College. The handover aims to fix long-standing transport gaps for students. Officials hope the move signals a shift toward better school facilities.

V. Lovitoly Sema and various department staff stood by as the buses left the lot. Department leaders credited the support of Chief Minister Dr. Neiphiu Rio and Minister of Higher Education and Tourism Temjen Imna Along for making the acquisition happen. The department stated, "The department expressed sincere gratitude to chief minister Dr. Neiphiu Rio and minister of Higher Education & Tourism, Temjen Imna Along for their continued support."
