Kohima: Dental practitioners from across Nagaland gathered in Wokha on June 6 for a Continuing Oral and Dental Education program. The Indian Dental Association, Nagaland State Branch, hosted the event to help improve oral healthcare services and foster professional collaboration.
A total of 62 doctors from government and private sectors attended the training. The sessions focused on clinical expertise, featuring technical presentations on emergency dental management and the diagnosis of oral lesions by Dr. Hollo Ayemi and Dr. Aneizo Khruomo.
Retired Director of Dental Services, Dr. Meribeni Odyuo, spoke to attendees about the necessity of staying current in the medical field. She urged participants to "embrace lifelong learning while remaining committed to ethical practice, compassion and integrity."
Local officials and dental leaders, including Dr. Mhao Jungio and Dr. I. Arenla Walling, addressed the group to reinforce the importance of the profession. Organizers described the event as a significant step toward achieving professional excellence and providing better care for patients throughout the state.
