Nagaland Cooperative Delegates Attend New Delhi Ministry Event

Kohima: A four-person team from Nagaland traveled to New Delhi on July 6 for the 5th Foundation Day of the Ministry of Cooperation. The event took place at Bharat Mandapam. Union Home and Cooperation Minister Amit Shah led the proceedings alongside other top officials.

The delegation included Opangtemsu from Mokokchung, Kohima representatives Atsubou Sanchu and Khriehuto Yase, and Lhikhro Kreo from Chümoukedima. They represented the Primary Agricultural Cooperative Credit Societies. The session focused on the central government goal of boosting the cooperative sector to drive rural development.

The Nagaland team credited NABARD and the state Department of Cooperation for the trip. The delegates noted that the event provided a path to advance local progress, stating the opportunity was "significant in furthering cooperative initiatives and rural development in the state."
