Nagaland BJP Names Mhomo Humtsoe as Candidate for Wokha By-Election

Kohima: The Bharatiya Janata Party of Nagaland held a ticket distribution ceremony at its district office in Wokha on May 29. During the event, party officials officially handed the nomination ticket to Mhomo Humtsoe for the upcoming Wokha Town Council Ward No. 8 by-election.

Addressing supporters, Humtsoe thanked the party leadership for their trust. He pledged to serve the community and the party with dedication if he secures the seat, while calling for unified support from local leaders and the public.

Renponthung Ezung, a state council member for the BJP in Nagaland, voiced his full support for the candidate. He urged party workers to maintain unity and emphasized his expectation for a fair and peaceful electoral process. The event also featured a special prayer led by Nrikhon Ngullie, a deacon from the Wokha Town Baptist Church, and concluded with remarks from Wokha BJP unit secretary Khochobeni Odyuo.
